Reading Together® with the Girls evening at Kaiti School

Following on from the success of the Reading Together® with the Boys evening, Kaiti School in Gisborne has held a Reading Together® with the Girls evening on 29 August 2019.

Quoting from a communication to whānau (available here) in the lead up to the event:

Reading with the R-nties is on tomorrow for all the girls.
The R-nties are excited. We have had over 110 RSVPS to say yes we are coming to read with the R-nties this Thursday at 5.15pm. Remember that this reading session is only for our girls and their Mums, Nans, Aunties, and Sisters this year. The boys had their turn last year. The theme is Rainbows. Please wear any colour of the rainbow and arrive at 5.15pm ready to read.

A message from Jeanne Biddulph (Reading Together® programme developer):
The Reading Together® with the Girls evening at Kaiti School is a wonderful (and obviously highly successful) example of additional support which some schools provide for Reading Together® families and at the request of parents/whānau who have enjoyed the programme and want another workshop - especially a repeat of Workshop Two with their children.
