Mokau School library open to public

The Waitomo News has an article titled 'School library open to public' (13 June 2013, p.1), available here. Extracts follow:

MOKAU School is opening its library to the public next week.
Principal Ben Single says the idea came to him during the school's 'Reading Together' programme. "I was looking at ways in which we could engage with the community more and help with a bit of adult literacy."
He says staff and students want to see their resources utilised more. "We have been in contact with the Waitomo District Council and Awakino and Mokau libraries as we felt we have a wonderful amount of resources that could benefit our community," says Mr Single.
A netbook will also be purchased to provide internet access for the public. The library will open Monday-Friday from 9.30am-12.30pm.
